Training

Odd Arts has developed a range of training programmes for staff and practitioners to work creatively with vulnerable people - Our workshops aim to safeguard and inspire organisations in order to work with high risk individuals

Odd Arts designs bespoke programmes to deal with behaviour management in particpants and the development of creativity and empathy in staff. Content depends on the issues surrounding the class or individuals.

Restorative Thinking: toolkit training

In 2013 Odd Arts worked in partnership with Restorative Thinking to develop a toolkit and training package on Restorative approaches. The toolkit and training is designed for staff working with young people within the criminal justice system.

This training session provides staff who lead group work sessions with the skills to deliver the Restorative Thinking toolkit.  We will equip non-drama specialists with effective, creative tactics to engage hard to reach young people.  Participants will work through the toolkit, learning innovative group work and discussion techniques, character development for debate, flip-chart and note-book exercises, presentation techniques, flexible lesson plan outlines and behaviour management for classroom settings.
